The Pink Orchid Tree is a deciduous small tree native to southern China, India and the Indochinese Peninsula. It is now widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. Xiamen Rogours Imp and Exp Co., Ltd. We offer a wide range of specifications as both suppliers and exporters. Our mature trees typically range from 6 to 12 meters in height. The bark is light gray to dark brown. The branches extend to form an elegant broad-ovoid tree crown. It is a landscape tree species with both unique biological characteristics and high recognizability.
The Pink Orchid Tree blossoms before its leaves. It reaches its peak flowering period during the cool season of winter and spring, when there is little flower blooming. The pink-purple butterfly-shaped corolla does not bloom on the branch tips but is densely clustered on the old branches and the trunk. After the flowers wither, new single leaves, which are alternate, nearly circular and heart-shaped, emerge. They are tender and light green, and maintain a graceful leaf appearance for appreciation even after the flowers have faded.
In terms of ecological habits and environmental adaptability classification, the Pink Orchid Tree is a warm-loving and light-loving tree species with moderate drought tolerance. It performs particularly well in arid and hot regions such as those in the Middle East, being able to adapt well to sandy and calcareous soils. Just by adding organic matter for improvement and conducting regular summer drip irrigation, it can grow vigorously. This tree species has a certain degree of salt tolerance (limited), but is not tolerant of waterlogging. Therefore, it is suitable to be used as a welcoming tree species for resorts far from the coast, as a street tree for city-themed flower paths, and as an ornamental tree along the waterside embankments in courtyards.
